Relaxation by the lake
Enjoy the quietest part of Lake Lucerne with a unique view of Mount Pilatus. The cool, clear water is perfect for a swim, and if you fancy something a bit more active, two stand-up paddleboards are available for you to use free of charge.

Boat trips on Lake Lucerne

Hike to the Bürgenstock & Hammetschwand Lift
A direct path leads up to the Bürgenstock from the Seehotel Baumgarten. The path is steep and only recommended in dry weather. Once you’ve enjoyed the view from the Bürgenstock, you can either continue along the Felsenweg to the Hammetschwand Lift or take the Bürgenstockbahn back to Kehrsiten.

Now available from the Seehotel Baumgarten. Daily and on request at reception. This cruise lasts approx. 2 hours and guarantees a wild ride with plenty of fun for the whole family. You can get more information from us at reception.

Hiking trail with historical insights into the French invasion
On 9 September 1798, the French reached Kehrsiten by sea and destroyed the village, sparing only a few houses. The French Trail provides a detailed account of the French invasion of Nidwalden.

Fruit trail
The fruit trail is located directly on the hiking trail from the Kehrsiten-Dorf boat landing stage to the Bürgenstock. It passes 29 traditional fruit tree varieties, some of which are ProSpecieRara varieties, and is freely accessible to visitors at all times. Along the way, signs provide information about the trees and their fruit.

Fürigen Fortress
Hidden behind the rugged cliffs of the Bürgenberg near Stansstad lies Fürigen Fortress. Built during the Second World War, it formed part of the Reduit, the defence strategy of the time. More information
